  • FAITH VERSUS FEELINGS

Be determined to let only God’s Word tell you how you should feel and not your flesh or your circumstances. Allow God to lead you and show you how you should act. Do not let your emotions be the gauge to how you are coping or holding up. We have the Word of God that says we are overcomers and more than conquerors. Often, we do not feel like that, but by faith, we must keep thinking and speaking as if we are. If we stay in faith it will allow God to move and help us in our circumstances. Speaking what you feel will only prolong the situation and keep the negativity flowing. But as you speak God’s Words, slowly the circumstances will start to turn around. Then results and progress towards the problem changing, begin to happen. At first, you will not feel like saying anything good, but you will have to force yourself to get passed this and be a doer of the Word and not a hearer only. We do this by faith, not by our feelings. Slowly the feelings will change, then you will begin to say it stronger and full of faith. Then watch those circumstances change! • I Can't

These are two words that you should strive to delete from your vocabulary. Once you think and say them, you shut down the forces that can help you. These words will build up walls around you and hinder you from moving forward. We are empowered by God to do all things through His help and support. Any situation that looks like you cannot, only means that you will need more help from God than ever before. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you. - Philippians 4:13 Do not allow the devil to sell you lies that you are not going to get ahead and get over this hurdle, because you are! Thinking that you cannot overcome this problem in your life, will cause you to act like you cannot. Then it will become impossible to overcome because you believe that you can’t. But you are not alone in any situation and any circumstance. You have the greater one living in you; He is doing all that you will allow Him to do to help you get over this problem. So change your “I can’t” to “I CAN” and see God work in your life. Scripture References Ephesians 6:10 Psalm 28:7 Exodus 15:2 Psalm 126:5-6

  • JESUS IS THE BEGINNING AND THE END

Jesus is the beginning and the end – the Alfa and Omega as stated in Revelation. He is also your beginning and your end to every problem or situation you may find yourself in. When problems come, go to Jesus in the beginning, stay focus on Him. He will lead you through to the end of the problem. It’s not about how, or when you will get the answer, it’s about “who.” The “Who” is Jesus, He is the answer to every situation. Begin with Jesus, end with Jesus. He will see you through the full circle of your problem. Revealing the how's, what’s and any additional information you may need to get to the solution. All your answers are found in Him, keep your focus continually on Him. Speak to your storm; it must bow to the name of Jesus. Allow Jesus to lead you through the storm. Don't be moved by the blowing wind, the critics, the remarks, or the bank account. All these are subject to change. Our God is a God of the suddenly. This time tomorrow, it can all be changed and you will find yourself at the end of the problem. God always completes everything. Stay close to Him, let Him lead you to a complete victory for your situation. Allow Him to show you things that you need and how to move forward. He is with you at the beginning of your need and will walk with you through to the end. God is greater than any impossible situation you may be facing. Place your trust in Him and allow Him to help you through to the end. I pray that God gives you His strength and that the comfort of the Holy Spirit will be with you. Read Ephesians 1:19 - 23

  • TUG OF WAR

God knows about your situation. He knows where you live and what difficulties you are facing in life today. He understands the magnitude of your problems. He is aware of all you are going through and is doing everything He can to help you. There is always a tug of war going on inside of you. On one side the devil is trying to get you to quit, give up and accept the lies that the situation will never change. On the other side, God is encouraging you not to quit, to focus and stand your ground. Keep pushing back with your faith, trusting in Him to bring His Word to pass in your life. God’s Word has the power to bring His promises to pass. But you have to hold fast to them and believe in them. God will stand with you and fight with you, but you have to remain strong in your faith, believing in the promises from His Word. He is moving behind the scenes on your behalf, performing His covenant in your life. So keep your faith strong, don’t quit, don’t give up. Stand strong my friend, God is able to change it around. This is the victory that overcomes the world – even your faith. Scripture References Revelations 2:13 Psalm 35:1-3 2 Corinthians 10: 3-4

  • OVERCOMING FEAR

Timothy 1:7, says God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind. If God has not given you a spirit of fear who has? Our enemy, the devil, he puts thoughts in your mind and wants you to meditate on them. God has instructed you to think about things that are pure, good and of a good report. The moment you start to think negatively, fear will overtake you. You will draw back from the promises of God, and doubt that God can help you. Thinking faith-filled thoughts allows you to rise above the fear. The more focused on the fear, the bigger it becomes. You choose what you going to think about; fearful thoughts, or faith-filled thoughts. The decision is yours. You are in control of your thinking. Think thoughts that build you up. Stop thinking about negative thoughts that pull you down. Create an atmosphere of faith in your heart, by thinking good, healthy thoughts that are in line with God’s Word. Scripture references Psalm 23 Psalm 27:1 Psalm 91 Philippians 4:8. LIFE MAY BE TOUGH BUT YOU’VE GOT A GOD WHO IS TOUGHER

  • Get Up!

Sometime later, Jesus went up to Jerusalem for a feast of the Jews. Now there is in Jerusalem near the Sheep Gate a pool, which in Aramaic is called Bethesda and which is surrounded by five covered colonnades. Here a vast number of disabled people used to lie - the blind, the lame, the paralyzed. One who was there had been an invalid for thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, "Do you want to get well?". "Sir," the invalid replied, "I have no one to help me into the pool when the water is stirred. While I am trying to get in, someone else goes down ahead of me. "Then Jesus said to him, "Get up! Pick up your mat and walk." At once, the man was cured; he picked up his mat and walked. John 5:1-9 Here we have a man who has had the same problem for the last 38 years! He became so problem-focused that he didn’t see WHO it was standing in front of him! He didn’t recognize that the answer was right there. Does this sound familiar? We have Jesus in us, full of answers and direction, but we become so focused on the problem that we cannot see the answers. Focusing on your problems can keep the answers from coming to you. The answer is inside of you, you just must be still enough to hear it. Jesus is saying to you "Get up! Pick up your mat and walk. What is holding you back from picking yourself up and going forward? Maybe it’s a relationship, a toxic friendship, a bad habit, or poor choices. We get bogged down with the problems, they become pits with walls, and we cannot see ourselves free from them. But Jesus wants you to get up from that place and move on. Let the past go, let the failures go, dust them off, and focus on a new goal, a new plan, and a better decision. How? One moment at a time; One day at a time. Get up and get going again! Do not let bad choices stop you from getting up and moving forward. Reset your goals and plans, keep moving forward.

  • Shedding what slows you down.

Let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. Let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. Hebrews 12:1 (NLT). We are running a race of endurance, not a quick 5-minute dash. Pace yourself in your Christian walk, by having goals that will help keep you focused. As you move along in life, you will become aware of things that you will have to remove. Things that hold you back and slow you down. DISTRACTIONS What is distracting you from reaching your goals? What habits are not beneficial for you, stopping you from achieving your goals? Concentrate on just one distraction at a time and resolve to remove it. Simplifying your life by doing what counts. Think about your goals, take an honest look at your life. You know what you must do, now is the time to start doing it. Focus on getting the victory in your life. Stop allowing distractions to hold you back. There is no short cut to success, no magic formula. It is hard work and dedication. Focusing on what you want and becoming single-minded will help you achieve your dreams and goals. Scripture References Habakkuk 2:3 Isaiah 40:31 Colossians 3:2 EVERYTHING IS HARD BEFORE IT BECOMES EASY

  • NEVER GIVE UP

THE ANSWER MAY BE CLOSER THEN YOU THINK! Often in life things can get very hard causing pressure to set in. Today, I want to encourage you to never give up! You just never know how far you are from winning this battle. God needs you to stay focused and full of faith to overcome. Problems seem so pressing, but instead of focusing on them, press into God’s Word. Don’t just memorize the scriptures but look at them afresh each day, read them out loud and confess them like they are yours. God is faithful, and He is working on your behalf. Trust in Him, besides who else do you know that can help you? If you had the answer and knew what to do, you would have done it, so sit back and rest in the promises from God’s Word. God will not let you down. God loves you so much and wants to help you get the results that you need. Be confident knowing that God will take care of you and meet all your needs. God is not holding anything back from you today, His desire is to bless you and prosper you. Keep your faith strong, your confession positive and the results will come. • Life in your Submarine

Imagine that you bought a submarine, then started to make it your own personal space. Inside you had a beautiful bedroom with all your favourite things, a movie room or even a lovely indoor garden. You could add a spa pool or a lovely lounge area to relax in. This is your space, a peaceful place for you to live in and enjoy. Then you take your submarine out into the deepest ocean. Being deep in the ocean is not a problem because your submarine can withstand all the pressures from the sea. You just cruise along enjoying your life, enjoying your peaceful, calm surroundings. You are all warm and cosy inside your submarine. Now, tell me would you consider opening the submarine's hatch and let the seawater in? Even a little bit? Of course not, why, because it would destroy your submarine; you could drown if too much water got in. Your life is like that submarine. Outside in the world all the cares and worries are trying to get inside you, trying to control your life, your thoughts, and even your sleep. Just as you would not open the hatch to let the water into your submarine, you should not allow the pressures of your life to get into your heart either. You should strive to keep a peaceful tranquil place with God in your life all the times. Purpose to keep your heart and mind focused on Him and His promises. Striving to remain in a peaceful state always. Cast every care onto the Lord. Tell Him, “Lord I cast the cares of my kids onto you, I trust you to take care of this situation, and I’m leaving it in your hands”. Then go on with your life knowing that He is well able to do exceedingly abundantly beyond all that you can ask or think. Continue with your life knowing that God is attending to your prayer. There is no need to worry or lose any sleep because your trust is in God. Our goal must be to stay in faith and keep in His peace. Do not allow the cares of this world to get into your heart. Only by staying continually in his Word and prayer, can you do this. Jesus never sat on the roadside and said to his disciples, “I’m so tired of you all, you are always moaning; everywhere I go people are always so unkind to me; life is so hard nobody likes me”. No, He never let all the pressures from the outside world overcome Him. He cast His cares onto the Lord daily by keeping in constant communication with His Father. Friend, this must be your daily goal, to stay in peace, to be calm and full of faith. Everyday trust God to help you fight the good fight of faith and to keep the pressures out. Do not let the devil deceive you into carrying the cares. Jesus died to take them from you so that you could walk free of them. Proverbs 4: 20-23

  • ARE YOU FOCUSED?

Success is all about being single-minded and focused. Focusing, on what you really want in your life. Are you willing to pay the price to achieve it? Are you ready to say “no” to what you don’t want and say “yes” to what you do want? There will always be distractions around you, all trying to lure you away from your goals. Staying focused will help you fight through. Deciding what you need to do to stay focused is as important as deciding what you should not do. Become like a dog with a bone. No matter how hard you try, you cannot get that bone away from the dog. That’s what is called being focused. It is something that you want with every fibre of your being, and you are willing to fight for it. Having this kind of attitude will allow you to see more positive results in your life. Focus everything in your life towards your desired goals. Stay focused, then you will win and see results.

  • IS THERE SOMETHING YOU SHOULD BE DOING?

Of course, there is. Not sure where to start? Easy, just take the first step! When I felt God’s leading for me to write a book, I didn’t have a clue how to start. I didn’t know anyone who had ever written a book before. I knew nothing about the world of authors and how they even got their books published. Honestly, all I ever did was just read books, that was it. My mind started racing with questions, how was I going to even do this? Then God gently nudges me, just start writing. So, I started writing in a word document what I felt I should say. This was my first step. I wrote whenever I could and just kept at it. Then one day I was invited to a Christian ladies meeting and low and behold I met an editor there. She was sharing about what she does in the editing world and if anyone needs any help to come chat to her. Well, I made a quick beeline to her after the meeting. It turned out that she lived in the same suburb as me, just a few blocks from my house. So, we caught up for coffee at a cafe down the road and she gave me all the advice I needed on how to get my book going and edited. Now let me tell you in all my life I have never met an editor. But now that I needed one, she appeared. She was also a Christian, so this made the deal so much sweeter. My point being, I took the first step! I started writing. If I never started to write, I would have never needed to meet her. As I continued writing, I needed someone to design my book cover, and God had that covered too. Then I needed a publisher, and God had that covered too. I’ve met all these people who have helped me and as you know I have now published my book – My Journey to Enjoying My life. It is now available everywhere, only God could have done this! So, my friend how about you? What is it that you need to start doing? You do not have to have all the answers before you start. You do not need to know how it will all work out. But all you need to do is to take step one. Take the first step. Then you will find out what the second step is, then the third and so on. But till you take the first step there is no need for God to show you steps 2, 3, 4 etc. So, step out, there is something you can do now, even if it’s just research. Take your first step towards your dream, to your purpose. Start your journey, you just never know where it will lead you.
